Pulev Ordered to Defend WBA Title Against Wardley

The World Boxing Association (WBA) has officially ordered Kubrat Pulev (32-3, 14 KOs) to defend his WBA "regular" heavyweight title against Britain’s Fabio Wardley (18-0-1, 17 KOs).

The mandatory defense must take place within 120 days. The winner will then be required to face Michael Hunter, currently ranked No. 3 by the WBA.

In his last fight, Wardley scored a knockout victory over Frazer Clarke in their rematch. Meanwhile, Pulev became WBA champion after defeating Mahmoud Charr in early 2024.
