Representatives of the absolute world champion in lightweight Devin Haney and ex-world champion in three weight categories Vasyl Lomachenko are negotiating a face-to-face match.

At stake in the confrontation between Haynie and Lomachenko will be the title of the absolute world champion in the lightweight category according to the versions of the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO.

We will remind that the Ukrainian defeated the American Jemaine Ortiz in his last fight. According to the results of the fight, all three judges gave victory to Lomachenko - 115:113, 116:112 and 117:111. For the Ukrainian, this victory was the 17th in the professional ring, for the American, the loss was the first defeat in the pros.

Devin himself repeatedly declared his readiness to meet Lomachenko in the ring. In his last fight, Haynie defeated George Kambosos again and retained the WBC, WBA Super, IBF and WBO lightweight titles.
