Promoter Eddie Hearn commented on the next fight of ex-world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. The Briton is scheduled to fight American Jermaine Franklin on April 1 in London.
"It's hard to come back. Because if AJ doesn't win this fight, we're going to be in big trouble."
"This guy is still one of the top three heavyweights in the world capable of reclaiming the world heavyweight title. On April 1, you will see the return of Anthony Joshua, probably against Jermaine Franklin. Honestly, I believe you're going to see a statement from a very dangerous guy, very motivated to become a three-time heavyweight champion."
In August of last year, Joshua lost a split decision to Ukrainian boxer, WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.
After the defeat by the Ukrainian, Anthony negotiated a fight with Fury, but the parties could not agree.
In his last bout, Franklin lost by decision to former WBC "interim" world heavyweight champion Dillian Whyte.
