Promoter Knows Who's to Blame for Tszyu's Defeat

On the night of March 31, former Australian WBO light middleweight champion (up to 69.85 kg) Tim Tszyu (24-1, 17 KOs) lost in a fight for the WBO and WBC belts to Sebastian Fundora (21-1-1, 13 KOs). Promoter Lou DiBella says the Australian's team is to blame.

"A certain analysis of Tszyu's corner work needs to be conducted after this fight. They let the guy down," DiBella wrote.

The boxers engaged in a 12-round confrontation. Right before the break between the second and third rounds, Tszyu suffered a huge cut on his head. Blood obscured his vision for the rest of the fight.

Eventually, the judges' opinions were divided. One judge scored the fight 116-112 in favor of Tszyu, while the other two scored it 116-112 and 115-113 for Fundora.
