Tony Tolj, the promoter of WBO bantamweight (up to 53.5 kg) champion Jason Moloney (27-2, 19 KOs), commented on the information that his client's next title defense might take place on the undercard of the fight between IBO lightweight (up to 61.2 kg) champion George Kambosos (21-2, 10 KOs) and Vasiliy Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs).
"There are a lot of open slots on the undercard. We're discussing some fights. Nothing is decided yet, but we've talked about having Jason Moloney defend his title on the undercard.
We've communicated our desire to have the next fight in Australia, but we've received an offer to have the match abroad. Jason likes fighting in America, he was happy to defend his title in Canada, but he really wants to fight at home in Australia. The fact that this could happen in my hometown seems like a logical step for all involved," said Tolj.
The Cambosos vs. Lomachenko fight is scheduled for May 12 in Perth, Australia.
