According to ESPN journalist Salvador Rodriguez, negotiations are underway between IBF and WBO flyweight (up to 50.8 kg) champion Jesse Rodriguez (19-0, 12 KOs) and WBC super flyweight (up to 52.2 kg) champion Juan Francisco Estrada (44-3, 28 KOs).
Sources report that the fight would be for the belt currently held by Estrada. The talks are progressing well, and it is likely that the teams will agree on a clash scheduled for June or July. Estrada last fought in 2022, securing two victories by decision. Rodriguez unified the titles last year with an early victory over Sunny Edwards.
