"Physically and Mentally Weak." Froch on the Potential Return of the Former Champion

Former world super middleweight champion Carl Froch shared why he believes the idea of 37-year-old former champion Kell Brook's return is a bad one.

"I don't want to see him come back. Kell Brook is fragile. Right now, he's physically and mentally weak.

I know that was a great win against Amir Khan, but with his injured eye sockets... When you have a year out of the ring, it's very long, then to come back at any level.

Actually, it's a shame because he has a wife and kids. He has children, but he's still trying to fill the void left by boxing. For me, he was a great athlete, a top boxer," Froch said in an interview with talkSPORT Boxing.

The last time Brook fought was on February 19, 2022. Then, he defeated Amir Khan in the 6th round and announced his retirement. In the spring of 2023, Kell stated he might return to boxing.
