PFL CEO Believes Ngannou's Second Attempt Will Be Successful

The CEO of Professional Fighters League, Peter Murray, believes Francis Ngannou (0-1), the former UFC champion who recently debuted in heavyweight against Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs), is more than capable of shocking Anthony Joshua (27-3, 24-1 KOs).

"Everyone underestimated Francis with Tyson, including Tyson himself. Francis has been constantly training. He undoubtedly caught the attention of viewers and fans around the world, and many, including myself, would say he won that match.

He has a goal, and I wouldn't underestimate the big guy against AJ. It will be a big event. We are looking forward to it and will be on his side. I believe he can defeat Joshua.

Francis will be better in the second fight. It will really be interesting to watch this event. He is the number one heavyweight in MMA in the world. He started his professional boxing career against one of the best in the world, and now his second attempt is against one of the best in the world.

So, you know, this has always been part of Francis's vision at this stage of his career, and we are proud of him," Murray told Sky Sports.

In October 2023, Ngannou debuted in professional boxing – lost to WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, but knocked him down in the 3rd round.
