"This is perfect for me." Wilder unexpectedly pleased with the Usyk vs. Fury bout.

Former heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder explained why he is satisfied with the Usyk and Fury matchup for the undisputed championship. He says it benefits him:

"It's time to unify the titles in the heavyweight division. It's better for me when they fight, and all the titles will be in one place. It's perfect for me because it's hard for me to get fights – they don't want to fight me.

Now, finally, there will be one man with all the titles, and I will have the opportunity to collect all the belts once and for all," said Wilder.

Wilder will box Joseph Parker in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on December 23. The Usyk-Fury fight will take place there on February 17. In all likelihood, in case of victory, Deontay will become a contender for the WBC title.
