Mirror reports on some of the rules that will be in place for the showdown between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul.
Instead of the traditional 3 minutes, rounds will last 2 minutes. There will be no judges at the fight, and a victory can only be achieved by knockout. Additionally, the competitors will box in 16-ounce gloves instead of the standard 10-ounce.
It's noted that both sides wish for the fight to be sanctioned as official.
According to Tela Mange, a public relations manager for TDLR, fighters over 36 years of age must provide positive results for electroencephalograms and electrocardiograms. EEG is used to assess brain disorders, while ECG is used for detecting heart issues. 57-year-old Tyson will be required to undergo mandatory medical tests.
The Paul vs. Tyson bout is scheduled for July 20th in Texas.
