Parker Teams Up with the Boxer Who Split Fury's Eyebrow

Former heavyweight champion Joseph Parker (34-3, 23 KOs) has revealed that he's sparring with Croatian Agron Smakiqi (20-2, 18 KOs), the boxer who injured WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs), leading to the postponement of the bout for the undisputed championship.

"We spoke with Fury's manager, Spencer Brown, and Tyson himself, and they said that these guys, Moses Ituma and Agron Smakiqi, were the best to work with. Even though Agron gave Tyson a cut before the fight, he was still doing a great job.

So, we thought we'd keep them around, bring them into training camp, and direct that good work they did with Tyson towards me," Parker said.

Joseph Parker is gearing up for a fight against Zhilei Zhang, scheduled for March 8 in Saudi Arabia.
