New Zealand's WBO "interim" heavyweight champion Joseph Parker (35-3, 23 KOs) has uniquely proposed a rematch to the British fighter Dillian Whyte (30-3, 20 KOs). Joseph posted a video set to the song "Back for Good" by the British band Take That.
"I want you back for good, Dillian Whyte. If not, I'm moving on," Parker wrote.
Joseph Parker and Dillian Whyte have previously faced each other in 2018. Joseph was knocked down in the 2nd and 9th rounds, while Dillian was down in the 12th. The fight ended in Whyte's favor with a unanimous decision by the judges.
Parker last stepped into the ring on March 8 against Zhang Zhilei (26-2-1, 21 KOs) – winning by a split decision and becoming the WBO "interim" champion.
On March 17, Dillian Whyte triumphantly returned against Christian Hammer (27-11, 17 KOs). After three rounds, his opponent refused to continue the contest, resulting in a RTD 3. This fight was Whyte's first since 2022, when he won by decision against Jermaine Franklin. Since then, Whyte had not fought due to a suspension for testing positive for banned substances. However, in court, the Briton proved his innocence.
