Pacquiao Proposes Saudi Arabia for Showdown with Benn, Aims for Weekend Agreement

Following an intense face-off with British boxer Conor Benn (23-0, 14 KOs), the former eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao (62-8-2, 38 KOs) from the Philippines has expressed his eagerness to lock horns with Benn, pinpointing Saudi Arabia as the desired venue for this titanic clash.

"I'm in shape, ready to go, and the months we've proposed to them are May and June. He's popular here, and right now, he's ready to fight me. I saw it in his eyes. He has a lot of fans here. I expect that we'll finalize everything this weekend, and I believe we'll be boxing here in Saudi Arabia," Pacquiao stated.

This announcement came right after the weigh-in ceremony for the Joshua vs. Ngannu fight, where Benn and Pacquiao engaged in a captivating stare-down, setting the stage for a potential blockbuster.

Pacquiao, whose last competitive bout was in August 2021—a loss to Yordenis Ugas—has since participated only in exhibition matches. On the other hand, Conor Benn fought in 2024, securing a judges' decision victory over Peter Dobson. As both fighters gear up for what promises to be a monumental confrontation, the boxing world waits with bated breath for the official confirmation of a fight that could very well be a defining moment in both of their illustrious careers.
