Manny Pacquiao: “You Know the Results When I’m the Underdog”

Manny Pacquiao (62-8-2, 39 KOs), the 46-year-old former world champion in eight weight divisions, shared his mindset ahead of his return to the ring against WBC welterweight titleholder Mario Barrios (29-2-1, 18 KOs).

“I miss boxing. I’m coming back because boxing is my passion. Ever since I retired, I’ve been thinking about it… And you know the results of the fights where I was the underdog. I love those situations. They inspire me and give me determination.

The time off has given my body a chance to rest. I feel young. You’ll see it for yourselves. I always surprise the fans. This will be a great show and a great fight. I’m confident the fans will be happy and satisfied. I know Barrios can put on a show—he’s got the talent for it,” said Pacquiao.

The bout between Manny Pacquiao and Mario Barrios is scheduled to take place on July 19 in Las Vegas, USA.
