“Could Expose Zepeda’s Weaknesses”: Expert on the Threat to William

Former champion and current boxing analyst Paulie Malignaggi shared his expectations for the fight between Mexico’s William Zepeda (31-0, 27 KOs) and Tevin Farmer (33-6-1, 8 KOs).

If Zepeda can quickly deal with Farmer, it will be a strong statement because I don’t think Farmer is stepping into the ring just for a payday. He still wants to win. That’s in his essence, that’s his character. He’s not the kind to give up easily, and when he steps into the ring, he’s always fighting for victory.

I like this fight because it can expose any weaknesses in Zepeda’s style. Yes, he has destructive power in both hands, but can he show more against someone with the experience and character of Tevin Farmer? That’s why this fight is really intriguing.

You expect Zepeda to win because Farmer has already passed his peak. But you don’t expect it to be as easy as some of Zepeda’s other opponents.

If he can get through Farmer as easily as he did others, it will be an even bigger statement. He’s already knocking on the door of a title fight. He’s a mandatory challenger in all four organizations, so a title shot is not far off,” Malignaggi told Probox TV.

William Zepeda and Tevin Farmer will face off on a Golden Boy and Riyadh Season co-promoted event on November 16 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
