Oscar Wants to See a High-Profile Lightweight Fight

Promoter Oscar De La Hoya, representing American super lightweight (up to 63.5 kg) Ryan Garcia, expressed his desire on Twitter to see a fight between Ryan's former opponent, WBA lightweight champion (up to 61.2 kg) Gervonta Davis (29-0, 27 KOs), and WBC titleholder Shakur Stevenson (21-0, 10 KOs).

"Shakur vs. Tank next!!!" Oscar wrote.

In the comments, the promoter was suggested to arrange a fight between Ryan and Shakur, to which he responded, "I want to see Shakur against Tank next."

Gervonta met with Garcia in April 2023 and won by knockout. Tank's next opponent will be Frank Martin (18-0, 12 KOs) on June 15th in Las Vegas, USA.

Shakur Stevenson has not fought since November, when he won by unanimous decision against Edwin De Los Santos (16-2, 14 KOs) and claimed his title.
