"It's War!" Oscar Reacts to Hearn's Tournament in the USA

On April 24th, it was officially announced that a boxing tournament will take place on August 3rd in Los Angeles, USA. The main event will feature Terence Crawford vs. Israel Madrimov, and the card is being called one of the best in U.S. history.

Golden Boy Promotions' head Oscar De La Hoya responded to the announcement of the tournament, which is organized by Turki Al al-Sheikh and Eddie Hearn.

"No promoter comes into my territory and thinks they can take over 'my' sport! This is war! This is aimed at a person who knows nothing about boxing," wrote De La Hoya.

Recall that in the card of the tournament we presented here, an athlete from Oscar’s promotional company will also be boxing—Vergil Ortiz, who may meet Tim Tszyu if he wins his fight scheduled for the night of April 28th.
