Oscar De La Hoya Announces Ryan Garcia’s Return

Golden Boy Promotions founder and CEO Oscar De La Hoya has shared exciting news about the grand return of his client Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) to the ring following his suspension.

“We haven’t discussed opponents with anyone. Not at all. Right now, Ryan is in fantastic shape. He’s in the gym, looking great, and he’s eager to return in April. April is just around the corner.

I have massive plans for Ryan that no one could even imagine. We’re working on a monumental comeback. We’ve been preparing for months because everyone wants to see him fight. He’s going to come back even bigger than ever. So, I need to be ready and make it huge.

A rematch between Garcia and Haney in April? No, no plans for that. Yes, of course, Ryan wants to fight Teofimo (Lopez). He wants to compete with the best and challenge himself. We can’t wait. Ryan Garcia is returning in April. It’s going to be something incredible,” De La Hoya told Fight Hub TV.

In April, Garcia defeated Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) by decision, though the result was later overturned due to Garcia’s failed drug test, which led to his one-year suspension.
