A boxing event featuring fighters from Golden Boy Promotions and Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) is being lined up for October, journalist Julius Julianis reports.
According to Julianis, the tentative line-up includes:
– U.S. interim WBC super-welterweight champion Vergil Ortiz Jr. (23-0, 21 KOs) vs. compatriot Keith Thurman (31-1, 23 KOs);
– American contender Arnold Barboza Jr. (32-1, 11 KOs) vs. fellow U.S. fighter Frank Martin (18-1, 12 KOs).
“Attention, attention! I’m hearing that for October we’re getting: Vergil Ortiz vs. Keith Thurman and Arnold Barboza vs. Frank Martin. It’ll be a GBP vs. PBC fight night,” Julianis wrote.
Vergil Ortiz scored a unanimous-decision win over Israil Madrimov in February. In March, Keith Thurman returned from a three-year lay-off to stop Brock Jarvis in round three.
Arnold Barboza dropped a unanimous decision to Teófimo López in May. Frank Martin was last in action in June 2024, when he was knocked out in the eighth round by Gervonta Davis.
