Rick Mirigian, manager of interim WBC Junior Middleweight champion Vergil Ortiz, has shared an idea for a potential matchup between his fighter and former world champion Errol Spence.

According to Mirigian, the bout could headline a major boxing event at AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys, in Texas. In the co-main event, he proposes a fight between Jermell Charlo and Jaron Ennis, with the plan for the winners of both fights to face each other afterward.

“I think Ortiz–Spence at Cowboys Stadium (the biggest Texas showdown in history), and Charlo–Ennis in the co-main event, with the winners meeting afterward — that could make sense. It adds up, especially since both Charlo and Ennis previously turned down fights with Ortiz,” Mirigian wrote.

On the night of November 9, Vergil Ortiz (24-0, 22 KOs) defeated Erickson Lubin by TKO in the 2nd round. After the fight, Ortiz had a face-off in the ring with Jaron Ennis (35-0, 31 KOs).
