Ortiz Breaks Into The Ring's Updated Rankings

The oldest boxing publication, The Ring, has updated its rankings of the top super welterweight (up to 69.9 kg) boxers.

Sitting at the top is WBA and interim WBO champion Terence Crawford. Following him are Israil Madrimov, from whom Crawford took the title, and WBC and WBO titleholder Sebastian Fundora.

New to the rankings is Vergil Ortiz Jr., who, after his victory over Serhii Bohachuk, has debuted at the 4th spot. As a result, Tim Tszyu, Bohachuk, Erickson Lubin, and Jesus Ramos have each dropped one position.

Additionally, Brian Mendoza has moved down from 8th to 10th place.
