Official: Opetaia vs. Scheo Fight Postponed

The scheduled bout between IBF cruiserweight world champion Jai Opetaia (27-0, 21 KOs) of Australia and unbeaten Italian contender Claudio Scheo (17-0, 9 KOs) has been postponed to a new date.

Originally set for May 13, the fight will now take place on June 8 due to a minor injury sustained by Opetaia. The event will still be held in Gold Coast, Australia.

Back in January, Jai Opetaia successfully defended his title by knocking out David Nyika in the fourth round. Claudio Scheo last fought in October, stopping Orlando Estrada via second-round TKO.
