Unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) has announced his plans to return to the cruiserweight division (up to 90.7 kg) after his rematch with former titleholder Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs).
"I’ll try myself in cruiserweight again," Usyk revealed.
When asked if it’s possible for him to become the undisputed champion in cruiserweight, heavyweight, and then cruiserweight again, Usyk confidently responded:
"Yes, yes, I’ll try."
The highly anticipated rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury is set for December 21 at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In their first bout, Usyk secured a split decision victory, becoming the first undisputed heavyweight champion since 1999.
