British boxer Lawrence Okolie (21-1, 16 KOs) shared his thoughts on the upcoming heavyweight clash between IBF champion Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) and WBO interim titleholder Joseph Parker (35-3, 23 KOs).
"I think both guys are solid, but Dubois needs to be physically stronger and apply more intensity. He has the power to break his opponent down. On the other hand, Parker has already proven he can handle some of the most dangerous punchers, like Zhilei Zhang and Deontay Wilder.
He has experience fighting big knockout artists, he knows how to survive tough moments and even turn the fight around. So if anyone can get the job done, it’s Parker. It’s going to be a tough fight," said Okolie.
The Dubois vs. Parker showdown is set for February 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
In 2024, Lawrence Okolie moved up to the heavyweight division, scoring two stoppage wins against Lukasz Rozanski and Hussein Muhamed.
