Official: Josh Padley to fight on January 31

A bout between 30-year-old Briton Josh Padley and 27-year-old Frenchman Jaouad Belmehdi for the vacant European title in the super featherweight division (up to 59 kg) has been officially announced.

The fight will take place on 31 January in Newcastle, United Kingdom, on the undercard of the Bahram Murtazaliev vs Josh Kelly event.

Josh Padley (17-1, 5 KOs) last fought in October, when he defeated Reece Bellotti by unanimous decision.

Jaouad Belmehdi (23-2-3, 11 KOs) was last in action in August, when he dropped a unanimous decision to China’s Xu Can.
