In what has been a captivating narrative surrounding former UFC champion Francis Ngannou's boxing debut, his collaboration with Mike Tyson was touted as a pivotal aspect of his training regime. Tyson was branded as one of Ngannou's trainers, sparking discussions that it was merely a publicity stunt.
This time around, Ngannou sheds light on whether Tyson was present at the camp before his showdown against Anthony Joshua.
"To be honest, for this fight, since I had my own coach, Tyson wasn't around this time. Yes, he came by a few times, about three times, before the Fury fight. Back then, he was more of an advisor, dropping by to watch our training sessions about three times. He observed and offered me a few tips," Ngannou revealed.
The clash against Anthony Joshua is slated for March 8 in Saudi Arabia. This will mark Francis Ngannou's second professional fight, following a judge's decision loss to Tyson Fury in his first.
