Former UFC champion Francis Ngannou (0-1, 0 KOs) made a pointed remark towards WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs), who attended his press conference before the bout against Anthony Joshua (24-3, 21 KOs).
"Your only chance is in the boxing ring, under boxing rules. Once you step out of the ring, you'd better stay five meters away from me before spouting any nonsense, because if I lose, it will be very bad for you.
Respect the fact that boxing is protecting your ass. Without it, you wouldn't stand a chance in front of me.
I can beat you any day. And twice on Sunday," said Ngannou.
Ngannou is set to meet Joshua on March 8th. In a previous match, Francis boxed with Tyson Fury – lost by decision but sent his opponent to the canvas. Later, both Fury and Ngannou talked about a possible rematch.
