Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou revealed some of the opponents he could face in his next boxing bout.
"I don’t know if I’ll get a rematch with Fury, but I hope so. I never expected to win that fight on points. That didn’t surprise me. I was upset, and people debated it. But that’s how this sport works.
I don’t think it would be fair if the same people organized another fight with Joshua. The same thing could happen again. Would it be fair? Would anything change in a rematch? Can they guarantee that? This is a dirty game.
I spent over four hours in the locker room. Now, looking back, I’m thinking, ‘What the hell was that?’ I’ve never seen anything like it. But it was done deliberately.
I arrived at the arena around 11 PM, and the producer told me the fight would be at 1 AM. But Anthony arrived at 1 AM. If we were supposed to fight at 1, he should have been there at the same time as me—we’re fighting together.
A fight against Rico Verhoeven? Maybe, but I don’t know. I still have a few fights left. I’m focused on them, not on options. There are many options.
Rico is an option. Chisora is an option. Wladimir Klitschko could also be an option for a fight," Ngannou stated.
Ngannou is currently the PFL heavyweight champion after knocking out Renan Ferreira. In his last boxing match, he lost by knockout to Anthony Joshua.
