On October 20, following two defeats to Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) and Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs), Francis Ngannou (0-2) returned to MMA and became the PFL Super Fight champion.
Despite his rocky start in professional boxing, the 38-year-old Cameroonian does not rule out a return to the boxing ring.
"I don’t know yet. It’s hard to talk about specific names—everything will depend on the circumstances. Perhaps it makes sense to meet Wilder or have a rematch with Fury. I’m open to any option that makes sense. I’m definitely interested in fighting Wilder," said Ngannou.
Deontay Wilder (43-4-1, 42 KOs) last stepped into the ring in June against Zhang Zhilei (27-2-1, 22 KOs) and suffered his fourth defeat in five recent bouts.
On December 21, Tyson Fury will face Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) in a rematch for the WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles.
