Ngannou: "I Will Have the Opportunity to Fight for the Undisputed Title"

Former UFC champion Francis Ngannou, boasting a boxing record of 0-1, 0 KOs, has expressed his belief that he will get the chance to compete for the undisputed championship following his upcoming bout against Anthony Joshua.

"There couldn't have been a better opponent for me, as I am a champion myself, lest you've forgotten.

My intention is to make a comeback in MMA. The timing of that return, I believe, hinges on the events of March 8. My career in MMA is far from over. I simply wished to pursue my boxing dream. Clearly, I can relish both and merge them whenever an opportunity arises. My journey in MMA is not concluded. I aim to return, engage in fights, and put on several shows.

This situation remains unchanged. Regardless of the outcome, the fight on March 8 is set to proceed. I am poised to dismantle Anthony Joshua on March 8 and secure a shot at the absolute championship title immediately afterward. It's an incredible opportunity that should not be passed up," stated Ngannou.

The showdown with Joshua is scheduled for March 8. This marks Ngannou's second foray into boxing – his previous bout ended in a loss via decision to Tyson Fury, yet he still managed to break into the WBC's top-10 ranking. Additionally, the MMA promotion PFL recently announced that Ngannou is slated to face the victor of the Ferreira - Bader fight.
