Francis Ngannou (0-1, 0 KOs), the former UFC heavyweight champion, boldly asserts that he would dominate all heavyweight boxers under MMA rules, including his upcoming boxing opponent Anthony Joshua (27-3, 24 KOs).
During a recent interview, Ngannou was asked about his confident demeanor during the face-off with Joshua, specifically about the knowing smile he sported.
"Sometimes I smile a little because I know we are fighting under boxing rules, but what if it was an MMA fight? I would destroy this guy. I am the only one who can compete in their sport, but none of them could step into mine. I would beat them every day of the week, and twice on Sunday," Ngannou confidently stated.
The highly anticipated Ngannou vs. Joshua match is set for March 8th in Saudi Arabia. At the weigh-in, Ngannou tipped the scales at 9 kilograms heavier than Joshua, adding another layer of intrigue to their upcoming clash. Ngannou's bold proclamation underscores not just the competitive spirit between boxing and MMA, but also his belief in his unmatched prowess in the combat sports arena.
