Former UFC champion Francis Ngannou, holding a professional boxing record of 0-2, has declared his intention not to leave boxing just yet. He aims to reclaim what he believes boxing has taken from him.
"I know I could have shown more in the fight against Joshua. In fact, my disappointment isn't in the loss. I could have put up a good fight.
My disappointment lies in not being able to demonstrate the progress and the work I've put in over the last four months after the fight with Fury. But it is what it is. You can come up with any excuse. What's next for me? Perhaps, a third boxing match.
I believe boxing now owes me, and I must take back what it took from me. I think my ego won't let me back down and let this continue as is, without doing everything I can to prove to the world that I am a man of my word," Ngannou stated.
Ngannou's second professional fight took place on March 8th, where he was defeated by Anthony Joshua via a knockout in the second round. Following this, he announced his plans to continue competing in boxing.
