Next in Line to Fight the Winner of Usyk-Fury

David Higgins, promoter of Joseph Parker (35-3, 23 KOs), shared the immediate future plans for his client.

"He had an incredible year, fought five times within a calendar year, and secured five victories. He defeated two of the most formidable heavyweights in boxing—Deontay Wilder and Zhang Zhilei.

This is arguably the best year for Joseph Parker; he has earned the boxing community's respect and is truly valuable at the peak of his capabilities. There are discussions backstage about Joseph being on a card later this year, but we don't want to be presumptuous.

Fighters say they will fight anyone, and in Joseph's case, it's true—he will fight anyone. He would like to be on the card in Saudi Arabia in September or October, and he will fight whoever he is matched with.

Another point is that he is the 'interim' WBO champion and mandatory challenger. He is next in line to fight the winner of Usyk-Fury," said Higgins.

The bout for the undisputed heavyweight world title between WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO titleholder Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) and WBC champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) will take place on May 18th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
