In an interview with Pro Boxing Fans, former boxer and now analyst Johnny Nelson commented on the words of the WBC heavyweight (over 90,7 kg) champion Tyson Fury's (34-0-1, 24 KOs) manager Spencer Brown, who claimed the Briton hadn't slept for 3 days before the fight with Francis Ngannou (0-2, 0 KOs).
"Guys, this isn't how it's done. You can't send a buddy to make excuses for you. You don't bring this kind of thing to the public.
I don't know what Brown was trying to do: do his job by defending Tyson or do him a favor. But this doesn't serve as a favor. When they do this, they look like whiners trying to find an excuse for themselves," Nelson said.
Tyson Fury faced Francis Ngannou in the latter's debut match last October. Tyson won the fight by split decision but was knocked down during the bout.
