Navarrete vs. Suarez: Official Scorecards Revealed

In the early hours of May 11 in San Diego, USA, WBO super featherweight champion Emanuel Navarrete (40–2–1, 32 KOs) defended his title against Charly Suarez (18–1, 10 KOs) of the Philippines.

The bout ended after Round 8, following a cut sustained by Navarrete above his left eye in Round 6. After Round 7, the ringside doctor advised the referee to stop the fight. The outcome was determined by the judges' scorecards at the time of the stoppage: 78–75, 77–76, 77–76

All in favor of Navarrete, who was declared the winner by technical unanimous decision (TD-U 8).

This was Navarrete’s second title defense since returning to super featherweight in December 2024, when he stopped Oscar Valdez to reclaim the WBO belt. For Suarez, this was his first world title opportunity. He came in riding a five-fight win streak, including two decision wins and three stoppages.
