Emanuel Navarrete and Eduardo Núñez to Unify Titles on February 28

Matchroom Boxing has announced a super-featherweight (59 kg) unification bout between WBO champion Emanuel Navarrete and IBF titleholder Eduardo Núñez.

The two Mexicans will headline the card on February 28 at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, USA. The event will be broadcast on DAZN.

Emanuel Navarrete (39-2-1, 32 KOs) last fought in May against Charlie Suarez. The bout was stopped in the 8th round due to a cut on Navarrete. He was initially awarded the win, but it was later ruled a no contest after it was confirmed that the cut came from a legal punch by Suarez.

In September, Eduardo Núñez (29-1, 27 KOs) defeated Christopher Diaz-Velez by unanimous decision.
