On Wednesday, April 12, Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) and Real Fight Inc. (Real Fight) revealed their plans to host a boxing match between Nate Diaz and Jake Paul, according to Boxing Scene.
Scheduled for August 5 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, the bout will consist of eight rounds and will be fought at a weight limit of 84 kg.
Over the past year and a half, the two combatants have traded verbal jabs, fueling anticipation for a potential fight. Now, they will finally have the opportunity to settle their differences in the ring.
Jake Paul recently suffered his first professional loss (6-1, 4 KOs), falling to Tommy Fury in a split decision. Meanwhile, Diaz will be making his boxing debut.
It's worth noting that in September 2022, the 37-year-old American triumphed over Tony Ferguson at UFC 279. Following the victory, Diaz announced his retirement from the promotion with a career record of 21-13.
