Undisputed super bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue (29-0, 26 KOs) is set to face American contender Ramon Cardenas (26-1, 14 KOs), Boxing Scene reports.
The event is scheduled for May 4 in Las Vegas, USA, with T-Mobile Arena being the most likely venue.
Inoue vs. Cardenas is expected to headline the Cinco de Mayo boxing card, celebrating Mexico’s national holiday commemorating the 1862 Battle of Puebla.
On January 24, Inoue defended his undisputed status by knocking out Jun Kim in the fourth round. On February 8, Cardenas secured a unanimous decision victory over Bryan Acosta.
