"Wait for me." Junto Nakatani Sends Message to Inoue

Junto Nakatani (31-0, 24 KOs), the unified WBC and IBF Bantamweight champion, shared his thoughts on defeating Ryosuke Nishida (10-1, 2 KOs) and addressed the possibility of a future clash with undisputed Super Bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue (30-0, 27 KOs).

“I’m very happy to have captured two belts and defeated such a strong opponent like Ryosuke Nishida. This was a true champions’ showdown — and it’s exactly the kind of win I wanted.

Inoue? I’m coming, so please wait for me.”

On June 8, Nakatani scored a sixth-round RTD win over Nishida, whose corner stopped the fight due to swelling near the eye.
