Nakatani and Inoue to Headline Two-Day Tournament in Japan

From October 13-14, Teiken Promotions will host a boxing tournament at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, featuring seven title bouts.

The first day of the event will be headlined by WBA bantamweight (up to 53.5 kg) champion Takuma Inoue (20-1, 5 KOs), who will defend his title against Seiya Tsutsumi (11-0-2, 8 KOs).

The main event on the second day will feature WBC flyweight (up to 53.5 kg) champion Junto Nakatani (28-0, 21 KOs) defending his title against Thailand’s Petch Sor Chitpattana (76-1, 53 KOs).

Additionally, three other champions will be defending their titles during the two-day event: WBO junior flyweight (up to 52.2 kg) champion Kosei Tanaka (20-1, 11 KOs), WBA flyweight (up to 50.8 kg) champion Seigo Akui (20-2-1, 11 KOs), and WBO flyweight champion Anthony Olascuaga (7-1, 5 KOs).

The tournament will also include two bouts for vacant titles: Ken Shiro (23-1, 14 KOs) will face Christopher Rosales (36-6, 22 KOs) for the WBC flyweight title, and Shokichi Iwata (13-1, 10 KOs) will clash with Jairo Noriega (14-0, 3 KOs) for the WBO junior flyweight title (up to 49 kg).

The only non-title bout will feature former kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa (4-0, 2 KOs) taking on Gerwin Asilo (9-0, 4 KOs) in a bantamweight contest.
