"My Time is Approaching": Final Words from Bogachuk and Mendoza

Ukrainian super welterweight contender Serhii Bohachuk (23-1, 23 KOs) and American Brian Mendoza (22-3, 16 KOs) commented on the upcoming fight for the WBC "interim" championship title. Serhii paid tribute to his opponent and is looking forward to a good fight: "I'm very happy to be here at this big show. I'm going to give my fans and the whole world a wonderful fight. Can't wait for Saturday night.

Brian is a good fighter with good experience. This is a big fight in my career. I'm only focused on the next fight. Over the past years, I've gained a lot of experience. I'm 100% ready. My loss was not a defeat – it was experience. Now I'm a smarter fighter and ready for all the big fights.

On Saturday, I will show everything I'm capable of. My time is approaching. It's going to be a wonderful fight."

Brian compared Bohachuk to Tim Tszyu and promises to showcase his best condition despite being the underdog: "Hard work is what brought me here, and I'm very grateful to be in this position. I was prepared to fight when the call came. When I got the call, there was no doubt.

I think Tszyu and Bohachuk are somewhat similar, but Tszyu is more polished. I gained a lot of experience in fights with Tszyu, and I'm going to keep following the best.

I have no doubt that my physical condition will be top-notch, so I'm ready to show it in the ring on Saturday. I'm the underdog again, and everyone knows how I fight in that status.

I'm still number two in the division after Tim Tszyu, and I want to show why on Saturday night. Be sure to tune in."

The fight for the WBC "interim" championship title between Serhii Bohachuk and Brian Mendoza will take place on March 30th in Las Vegas, USA.
