Murtazaliev Knocks Out Culcay

On the night of April 7 in Falkensee, Germany, local former champion Jack Culcay (33-5, 14 KOs) clashed with Russian boxer Bakhram Murtazaliev (22-0, 16 KOs) for the vacant IBF middleweight title (up to 69.85 kg).

Until the ninth round, the local boxer looked solid – he attacked and used his torso defensively. However, his activity in attacks sharply decreased afterward, allowing his opponent to take full control. As a result, Murtazaliev won by technical knockout in the 11th round.

Bakhram is now the IBF middleweight champion. Other champions in this category include Sebastian Fundora (WBO and WBC) and Israil Madrimov (WBA).
