Jaime Munguia and Bruno Suras Successfully Weigh In

On the night of December 15, a fight between Mexican Jaime Munguia (44-1, 35 KOs) and Frenchman Bruno Suras (25-0-1, 4 KOs) will take place in Tijuana, Mexico.

Ahead of the event, the official weigh-in was conducted:

– Jaime Munguia: 76.7 kg

– Bruno Suras: 76.7 kg

Interestingly, while the fight was initially announced as a super middleweight contest (up to 76.2 kg), it seems to have been agreed upon at a catchweight.

This will be Munguia’s fourth fight in 2024. Earlier this year, the Mexican defeated John Ryder and Erik Bazinyan but suffered a loss to Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Meanwhile, Bruno Suras last fought on December 16, 2023, when he stopped John Obregon via technical knockout in the 12th round.

Additionally, it was recently revealed that the WBC has officially sanctioned a bout between Jaime Munguia and Christian Mbilli for the interim WBC super middleweight title. The winner will become the mandatory challenger for a fight against Canelo Alvarez.
