Middleweight (up to 76,2 kg) contender Jaime Munguia (43-0, 34 KOs) commented on the upcoming fight against the undisputed super middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs). The Mexican believes he can shock the world on May 4th by taking Canelo's titles and potentially knocking him out.
"We have to be very careful and very smart because we know he punches very well and has good defense. But, as I've said before, I believe this will be a great fight.
This fight was not a gift; it was earned through a huge amount of work.
This is something many fighters haven't been able to do, respect the work. I believe I'll be pressing, and I give you my word that I'll do everything possible to make him fight me. It's hard to say anything now, but the opportunity for a knockout exists. Whenever you're in the ring, anything can happen," said Munguia.
The bout between Jaime Munguia and Canelo Alvarez is set for May 4th in Las Vegas, USA.
