Munguia Explains Key to Victory Over Derevyanchenko

Mexican super middleweight (up to 76,2 kg) Jaime Munguia (43-0, 34 KOs) commented on the upcoming fight against undisputed world champion Saúl "Canelo" Álvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs).

"Obviously, it's going to be a huge fight and a Mexican war. I'm proud to be headlining this event. I'm ready for this stage, and tonight promises to be a marvelous fight. We're very confident.

We know that every fight is different, so we're not taking too much from the Canelo vs. Ryder fight. We just took advantage of the opportunity we saw.

I've defeated all opponents, taken on all challenges, and evolved as a boxer.

I've seized many opportunities. Gone through many trials, worked hard, and made consistent sacrifices – and here we are.

Derevyanchenko? The fight with him was a significant test. He was a very tough opponent, but my will to win and continuous forward movement – that's what made the difference," said Munguia.

The fight between Jaime Munguia and Canelo Álvarez will take place on May 4th in Las Vegas, USA.
