On 1 August, former boxer Rahman Ali — the younger brother of the legendary Muhammad Ali — died at the age of 82.
According to the Louisville Courier Journal, Rahman was hospitalized on 19 July and subsequently placed under hospice care.
Between 1964 and 1972, he fought 18 heavyweight bouts, compiling 14 wins (7 by knockout), 3 losses, and 1 draw.
After retiring from the ring, Rahman often accompanied Muhammad on trips and continued to train alongside him. In 2014 he published memoirs titled “That’s Muhammad Ali’s Brother! My Life on the Undercard,” followed in 2019 by the book “My Brother, Muhammad Ali — The Definitive Biography.”
