Moses Itauma Destroys Balogun in Two Rounds

On May 24 in Glasgow, Scotland, 20-year-old rising heavyweight Moses Itauma (12-0, 10 KOs), holder of the WBO Inter-Continental and WBA International titles, faced off against 41-year-old American Michael Balogun (21-2, 16 KOs).

The bout ended in the second round. Itauma dropped Balogun in the first, did it again in the second, and after a third knockdown, the referee waved it off — TKO 2.

This was the first time since 2023 that Itauma had been taken beyond two rounds. For Balogun, it’s his second loss in his last three fights — his previous defeat came against Murat Gassiev, also in the second round.
