Moses Itauma on Fighting Usyk: "The Only One I Haven’t Shared the Ring With"

British heavyweight prospect Moses Itauma (11-0, 9 KOs) has expressed his desire to face WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs) in the ring.

The 20-year-old believes that Usyk will first fight IBF champion Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) and then Joseph Parker (36-3, 24 KOs). However, Itauma hopes that he, too, will eventually get his shot at the Ukrainian superstar.

"I want it to be Dubois and me. That would be great. It would be amazing just to say that I’ve shared the ring with him. After all, I’ve already sparred with Dubois, Joshua, Bakole, Joyce, and Fury.

The only man I haven’t been in the ring with is Usyk—it would be incredible to share the ring with him, whether in a sparring session or a real fight," said Itauma.

In December, Itauma stopped Demsey McKean via first-round TKO. The British prodigy fought four times in 2024, winning all bouts inside the distance—none of his opponents lasted beyond the second round.

Oleksandr Usyk, meanwhile, defeated Tyson Fury twice last year—once by split decision in May and again by unanimous decision in December.
