Morrel Promises to Knock Out "Easy Money" from Berlanga

WBA World super middleweight champion (up to 76.2 kg) Cuban David Morrel (10-0, 9 KOs) has expressed his desire to face Puerto Rican Edgar Berlanga (22-0, 17 KOs). He says it will be easy money for him but doesn't deny Edgar's caliber.

"He's a good fighter. For me, it's easy money. I'll knock out easy money from him for myself. I'm the best in the super middleweight division. I'm ready for this guy. I have everything.

You know, he's not ready for me. Congratulations to Berlanga on his victory over McCrory. It was a good fight. Benavidez doesn't want to box with me, neither does Canelo," Morrel stated for Fighthype.

On the night of February 25th, Berlanga won against McCrory by technical knockout. After this, Edgar's manager claimed that his fighter would be ready for a bout with Canelo on May 4th. Morrel last entered the ring in December 2023, securing an early victory over Sena Agbeko.
