Krassyuk Thinks it Will Take "Wonder or Magic" for Fury to Beat Usyk

Promoter Oleksandr Krassyuk, representing super heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) in WBA, WBO, IBO, and IBF, breaks down the confrontation against Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs).

— In April 2021, you said, when I asked you, "Can Usyk knock out Fury?" and you said, "What's so special about it? Why not?" Time has passed; has your opinion changed?

Well, this thought has solidified, if anything. You can analyze this story from both sides, Fury's side and Usyk's side. Let's start with Fury. We saw his last fight with Francis Ngannou, and now... Few doubt that Fury is just a regular person. And in specific conditions, in that fight, he did not look his best, to put it mildly.

Francis Ngannou, a debutant in professional boxing, almost defeated the WBC champion, who had defeated Vladimir Klitschko in his time, Wilder twice, and nearly all British super heavyweights.

He's a human; he has a body, skin, muscles. Not many, but they are there. Secondly, the psyche. Despite being an experienced person with many years in boxing and having such experience, his psyche is quite fragile. And from these two components, a fighter emerges as a whole.

Now let's take Usyk. What has happened to Usyk during this time? Well, Usyk has gained experience and confidence. Confidence came based on experience. He defeated Joshua twice, defeated Dubois; he hasn't fought frequently, but when he did, it was very successful and enough to cement and fortify his psyche.

What is happening in the camp now cannot but please. God willing, it will continue until the final completion of the camp, and we will see Usyk in the ring in this form. Unless some magic or miracle helps Fury defeat Usyk.

That's quite a statement.

— It has a basis, and it is based on the information I possess, the experience I have in boxing for 20 years. Of course, we understand that each boxer has a chance of victory, but the question is how these chances will be balanced during those 45 minutes.

How Fury approaches his preparation, how he reaches his peak form, whether he can maintain that peak. Whether he will be mentally stable during those 45 minutes is already a question.

As for Usyk, we know that there are no body issues now, thank God. Regarding the psyche, there never were any issues. Now there's even more good news; he became a father for the fourth time, — said Krasyuk to SportArena.
